Why Techretary
Why Techretary
When I was a kid, science fiction stories predicted a whizz-bang world where everything was computerized and automatic. Turns out we got the first one, but not the second. Sadly, robot secretaries don’t take our calls, answer our emails or pay our bills. (Well, mine does but he’s special and you can’t have him.)
In this whizz-bang world, where you can barely scratch your nose without being told to do it online, what do you do when computers and technology aren’t your strong suit? You get yourself a Techretary of course!
Techretary is your personal assistant for the digital world, helping you get connected and get your online tasks done. Desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, phones… whatever you need to do, however you need to do it, get Techretary to do it for you!

Hi, I'm Kim, I'll be your Techretary
After 20 years working in television, I began teaching computers and digital technology to seniors, discovering in the process something I already knew – I’m a geek who likes helping people.
I also started thinking about the services we need and the services we have. There’s plenty of people wanting to sell us stuff and no shortage of folks happy to fix it or sell us new stuff when it breaks. But what about the bit in the middle?
This is why I created Techretary, because modern technology may be easy to buy but it ain’t always easy to use! And because we’re forced to do everything online even though we don’t always have the skills. In a nutshell, my mission is to make life easier for those who don’t have an easy time with technology.
